CONWAY, Ark. -- With the UAB Blazer Classic clearly in the rearview mirror after a week away from competition, the Nicholls State University cross country program shifts focus to the season's next major challenge -- the Southland Conference XC Championships, set for Friday, Nov. 1 at Central Arkansas. The Colonels will face off against the league's other 12 cross country teams, including four regionally-ranked squads on both the men's side (No. 4 Lamar, No. 12 Abilene Christian, No. 14 McNeese & No. 15 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) and the women's (No. 6 Stephen F. Austin, No. 9 Abilene Christian, No. 12 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, No. 15 McNeese).
