CONWAY, Ark. -- Despite a frost-covered course and high-level competition across both fields, the Nicholls State University cross country program posted a much-improved performance at the Southland Conference Championships on Friday morning, as the women jumped four spots from last year's showing up to ninth while the men managed to claim 12th on the final leaderboard. Freshman Augusta Marie Christensen paced the Colonels on the women's side, notching a personal record in the 6k as she placed 39th overall, while the men saw a tight-knit finish with all five runners crossing the finish line between 71st & 80th individually.
